Account locked, ask for chargeback

Hi,
As many of you I had my account locked as well, I did not do RMT, I did not buy, sell keys, nothing. Just randomly one day my account was locked while I was still in game. Instantly messaged GGG, with 1-1 day response times they have "identified" me ( which is a totally broken process ) but ever since they have not replied to me. It has been almost 3 weeks since my account was locked.

I've been playing for 10+ years, and recently spent ~150 dollars on poe2. I'm extremely frustrated, so I started looking into different solution then relying on unresponsive support. We have became true exiles...

Sadly chargeback is not an option for people who want to keep their long living poe accounts since dealing with support about chargeback would be similar infinite time loop as trying to get your account back in the first place.

BUT

If you are a new player, who bought poe2 then you can without issue apply for a chargeback especially since there was a DATA breach at GGG. To get things worse, I've read threads where accounts were locked but previously unauthorized transactions were made, anyway this is how you can apply for a chargeback:

"
1. Gather Evidence
Before filing a chargeback, collect:

Statements showing unauthorized transactions.

Communication with the company (if applicable).

The data breach notice (e.g., forum post from Grinding Gear Games).

Any reports filed (e.g., GDPR complaint, police report).

2. Contact Your Bank or Card Provider

Call the customer support number on the back of your card.

Use online banking to check if chargeback claims can be filed digitally.

3. File a Chargeback Claim

Provide:

Transaction details (date, amount, merchant).

Reason for the chargeback (e.g., fraud, compromised data).

Supporting evidence.2. Gather EvidenceBefore filing a chargeback, collect:Statements showing unauthorized transactions. Communication with the company (if applicable). Sadly for those who have bought stuff using steam, you will have to go trough steam support loop. There is an old thread about it here how you can get the most optimal results. Basically what you have to do is. reach support about your chargeback. Make your case, add date of purchases, explain the data breach, the fact that your account was locked and support is inresponsive and you cannot use any of the stuff that you have bought, then wait and pray. It is in the hands of support to decide wether you get it or not.
