early access code on steam

hello, I've got code from my friend. I did not know, and used it on steam, but now it shows, that I do not have early access. Why can not I play the game?

Hey there,
The Steam and Epic Client Keys should unlock the Path of Exile 2 Client in your Steam or Epic Library, these do not provide Early Access. Do not share the Client Keys as you will need this if you wish to play through Steam. If you have received a Path of Exile 2 Early Access Key from a friend you can redeem that key on the Path of Exile website after logging into your account here: https://www.pathofexile.com/shop/redeem-key |
