i cant connect me steam account

i just downloaded your game through steam and i wanted to connect account but it keeps showing me error (The login request failed. Please try again later), i logged in to poe through steam but it has my account that i stopped playing years ago, is there any way to merge it? i really want to log in through steam

Unfortunately, there is an issue with Steam currently that is preventing logging in to our website for players using Steam. We are doing what we can from our side to try to remedy this, however I'm afraid that as the issue is on Steam's side, we don't have a specific timeframe for it to be fixed.
