Made the horrible mistake of linking accounts.
Well, I've basically ruined the game for myself by linking my old POE1 account to my Steam created POE2 account 4 days ago. After doing that, my lvl 89 Monk was unable to trade as the game reported that I had to reach lvl 25 first.
So I hit up support, and got what appeared to be a canned response, provided more info, and it's been multiple days without any feedback. So I think, maybe if I make a lvl 25 character on my old account, this will be all good. Nope. Lvl'ed a merc to 25 just to try to be able to play endgame and trade, but sadly it doesn't work to fix. I'm basically stuck until the CS dept (which is probably crushed right now) can get to my request. So long story short: 1. Don't link your accounts. 2. If you do link them and can't trade, don't waste time trying to level a character to 25. It will not fix the issue. I guess I'll go play cookie clicker now . . :( Last bumped on Feb 17, 2025, 7:31:12 AM

You need to change your sub-account (there should be a "change account" button at the top left of the site).

" We're currently handling a large volume of support requests which you can read about in our recent announcement here. If you've already contacted us via email at support@grindinggear.com then you'll need to wait for the appropriate team member to get back to you. We appreciate your patience! | |
Yeah, i saw that, but that's just trading on the website. Right now, if I log into the game as my 89 monk, i can't even move currency or yellow+ items as it says I need to have a lvl 25 character. So it's outside of the trading site and even within the game.

Just an update. I found a workaround if this happens to you. I guess after you merge accounts, the game doesn't realize that your characters are at their existing level, once you level up, this is fixed.
Strangely, when you level up, you'll be kicked from the game with a message saying you've been banned by an administrator, but this is just a bug. Log back in, an you should be able to trade again without issue. |
