Is all damage in Trial of the Sekhemas supposed to ignore energy shield?

I feel like when I first did it, my ES would block damage (and no I'm not talking about honor damage).

But now, 100% of damage I take goes straight to my life, and bypasses my energy shield, as though it were chaos damage. Even the fireball traps do this.

I have 11k honor with relics, but I die very quickly due to loss of life, despite 6.5k ES. I'll be at 99% honor but dead due to direct life damage. Is this a bug?

Spark Sorc and did one the other day (lvl 74) and took essentially no damage until the last few rooms and then only minor damgage. Even the 4th Boss did virtually no damage.

I had the same Problem mutiple times.
But it seems that it appear later in thr trial.
In the Beginning the Energy Shield works properly, in floor 3&4 the damage start to bypass my energy shield completly. I have the feeling that one of the boons didnt work how it should, but so far i couldnt determine which.

Almost nothing in PoE2 ignores ES (even Chaos Damage).

Poison Damage does, which can be the result of Chaos Damage attacks (and some traps in the Trial). It's also possible to have a Bane that removed your ES. I'd need more information about the particulars to be able to say for sure what may have happened in this case however. Bleeds also ignore ES, but because only Damage done to your Life direct counts for Bleed Magnitude, it's pretty rare for that aspect of it to be very visible (since chances are you're out of ES when you took the bleed, and the bleed would stop you from recharging in most cases).

But if you notice your Health Globe turn Green, or if you are Bleeding and are somehow able to recharge even during the damage, it could cause the appearance of your ES being ignored.

Are you aware of the types of enemies you saw this happening during? Which floors? Are you 100% sure of what your Boons and Banes where? Can you replicate these events?

Same Problem. Love having 6k energy shield only to have to worry about my 600hp health pool instead lol.

VERY consistent problem. Out of the 5 trials within the past 12 hours 4 of them have this problem.

Guys there's an affliction that taking dmg also makes u take 5% of your HP. This bypasses Energy Shield. You have to either hope you don't get it from a random Affliction, or not choose that room when you see it on the board.
