Few thoughts after 750h
I hope that someone from GGG will read this. In my opinion below points blowing eyes after a few hundred hours spend in game
Before i start 0. Communication -- !! Please update us !! -- We wait for patch 0.2.0 but we dont have any timeline, we dont have any readmap, we dont know what, when. We dont know what are you planning, we don't know what we're waiting for. A lot of peaople finished his travel in this game because we dont have any information from you. 1. Endgame is boring - we can farm maps or few bosses and that's it. Difference between tier bosses and maps is too small. If we can do maps T1 we can move easly to T6-T8, then after upgrade some gear move to T15. We don't need farm all tiers. The same is for bosses - if we can kill pinacle T1, we can easly do it for T2 etc. 2. Towers are boring and we dont need this. It has been upgraded with 0.1.1 but it still is boring. We dont have any buffs in tower and still running as fast as we can to end of map. 3. Requirement to kill specific mobs when we want to finish map is IDIOTIC. Checkpints didnt change anything. Sometimes we have to back and waste one minute to kill 2 mobs somewhere. 4. Add more optional crafting methods - right now is boring. Expedition doesnt exist and is useless. 5. Towers... we have to looking tablets, then find a few towers, then stack tablets. What do you thing about decrease number of tower and increase mods for tablets or increase range towers? Right now we have to lose ton on time to discovering stupid towers which are boring. 6. 99% Unique items are useless 7. Melee class are slow. Melee class like warrior or mercenary where we have to stack life or armour are worse whan casters or classes with INT/DEX. Game need more balance. Heralds are to much power. Passive skills in the left side of tree are weird. Some of them increase something but in the same time decrease something. If the witch or sorceress can stacks 100 life and 100 int melee classes which cant use INT should have 200-250 LIFE in the same time and more power. 8. You have to nerf MONK. Heralds, ascendancies related with SPIRIT, with Armour from evasion - Really? Its 5, 6 time better than other calsses. 700 hour player here, with a non meta spiral volley build, i agree with everything. I think everything atleast the rares if thats the route they will choose (i hope not) will be visible immediately when you enter the map. Checkpoints still suck, you can easily skip them by mistake because they arent visible on the map all the time, so retarded. The biggest turn off for me that makes me not want to play is the terrible balance, there is no reason for me not to go gemling attribute stacker build because its just 10 times better. Incredible how we havent got proper balnce yet, they should hammer down on everything thats what early access is for, to make the game better.
And also it dosent seem like they intend to buff the useless uniques but only add more usefull ones?? What about buffing alot of the completely unusable uniques, because alot of them have cool ideas but are just trash. Why do they also have temporalis in the game when they want slow methodical meaningful combat like what. They also have weapon swap and the 24 weapon swap passive points, but they dont want people oneshotting bosses. Sorry for my rant this is just what i think and i care about the game since it was my full time job. |

How is endgame boring? The whole point of the game is to grind and find the best gear. If you’ve accomplished that and you’re at the “bored” stage then you’ve reached the end. It’s time to hold out for new content and go do something else.
Trash rares are the point of the loot system. They are supposed to be trash to farm for currency and gold. Then when you find that one great piece it’s a huge rush of dopamine. Crafting. Ohh yes this is what needs the most help. It’s way to RNG based but so was POE 1 until they refined it. Not sure why that’s not in this game as well but it’s not. We should be able to be crafted from regular to advanced to expert to keep our mods we have but allow us to get the higher ones. Or if not be able to control what we want on the weapon but still having rng. It needs work. Uniques are fun. Some are useless and it makes me wonder why they were in game. Some of specific but they will become more disabled as the game develops. POE 1 was like this too. I’ve gotten more use out of uniques in 2 than 1 though. |
