Dodge Roll Improvements
I don't mind there being a dodge-roll in the game. Especially for bossing, it can add a lot of fun dynamic to boss mechanics and fighting.
However, there are a lot of times where i feel punished for rolling, or i want to roll but it just doesn't really help because the animation is too slow or the enemies are too fast. I have picked up relics in the Trial of Sekhemas that increase dodge-roll distance by a small amount. And i was really surprised at how GOOD it felt to have this bonus. I would really like to see a couple of places in the passive tree where i could increase my dodge-roll distance by a small amount (like 25%) and possibly also increase the animation speed by a small amount as well. I ALSO would like to see some way to get around being punished for rolling as an incinerate user. I get a huge loss of DPS because it forces me to re-start channeling from stage 1 again. Would be nice to have a way to retain the stages of incinerate for like.. 1.5 seconds or so just so that i don't get punished for successfully dodging an attack. It makes bossing with Incinerate a real pain in the ass because i'm dropping even more DPS than other classes when i am forced to dodge. My guess is that GGG might be planning to put dodge-roll bonuses inside one of the assassin ascendancies... Which thematically make sense. But since dodge-rolling is something EVERY character must do, i really think boosting it should be available to more than just an assassin class. Last bumped on Feb 18, 2025, 3:56:24 PM
