EA is pay to test the builds

Is it normal that we have to buy divines at such an expensive price just to test the available builds? Why are the drop rates so low? Is it only meant for dupers, botters, no-lifers, and scammers? Why do players feel the need to resort to these behaviors in an EA game? This is boring and not fun for the average player. I'm done, and I believe many others will quit as well.
