Rune daggers, sceptres, spell or attack?
Is a Rune Dagger considered a "spell weapon"?
Is a Sceptre considered a "spell weapon"? What do you do if you find a Sceptre (or RuneDagger), with strong attack modifiers? (And no strong spell modifiers.) Do you keep it or drop it? Attack modifiers shoud be ignored? (on these) What about Staves? What about Wands? Last bumped on Mar 18, 2025, 5:51:01 PM

Depend what you are trying to do. A lot of those weapons can be used for both depending what you roll on them. If you want to see the mod pools that can roll look up on craft of exile.
I played an attack build with scepters recently, but it can also be used for spells, depends on your build whether or not you want attack or spell mods to roll. Elemental damage can be good for both. In general you will only want one or the other though, they don't tend to overlap on most builds. The base type can matter as well. In the case of staves, war staff has more of the attack based, while the other staff has spell mods in the pool. Similar with dagger vs rune dagger. Wand can be both.
