Even the new uniques look like shit. Ruined Bringer of rain.

Bringer of Rain was one of my favorite uniques in poe 1. It had the very cool ability of providing a 6L melee attack as well as Block chance and endurance charge generation. On top of that it had pretty good stats as well.

Now they put Bringer of Rain in Poe 2 and what does it have? Essentially just giants blood. It has nothing else good, bad stats, and the SAME HUGE DOWNSIDE!!!

What the hell GGG??

Now that GGG doesn't need to define the maximum skill links by the number of sockets on the weapon or armour, we can add theoretically unlimited number of effects to matching skills all at once by allocating specific passives in the skill tree.
So that "Giant Blood" as a unique mod on the item can simply expand the limit of the build by saving the cost in passive skill tree.

I think you could refine your suggestion. I share the feeling on the unique items (undeveloped forgotten ancient mechanism).

I am not playing melee in poe 2 right now. Can any melee players explain why they would use this helmet instead of using giants blood or tree fingers? Then you can still wear a damn chest piece.
If I want to wear the body armour, I don't even think about BoR.
The most important part is "the naked muscle with the fullplate helm".

I honestly don't understand the uniques so far. Every single one of them has the "thing" that makes it "what you want", but then, it has the "thing" that either completely negates the reason of the thing in the first place, or it's absolutely unusable.

I don't know why every single unique has a Kiss/Curse...

But then again.... I guess we see why they do it... Cuz now EVERYONE uses HoWa/Pillar, which have no negative effects to the player, Regalia doesn't... Annnnd... Temporalis..

What was I talking about again? Oh yeah... Uniques suck. You can't even use 99 percent of them

They can give supports to specific gem slots. Like, "Slot 1 gem gains x level x support gem." Something far more interesting than, "allocates a notable passive." Some jewels already do that. Don't need items that prevent the use of your chest piece to give so little.

GGGS are just make mistakes.

They think: "Here we will give a cool bonus, but at the same time a negative side. Players will try to bypass the bad side to use the good side, and voila! — we're getting the original build."

But their bonuses do not cover the disadvantages at all.

No such item is still in demand in the game.

At the same time, they give encores to unics like HOW, apparently because they want the reward to be valuable.

It's not malicious intent, they just screwed up.

By the way.
The Pillar is a perfectly normal object. It's just that PoE2 has a new target application for it. In PoE1, it needed a sooooo specific build. But here the "stack of characteristics" turned out to be too simple.

Yes. I am pretty confident that the downside will be too much and bringer of rain will not be used.
