I am a new player and i need some help please
Hello! I'm new to PoE, I played a little in high school poe1 and now in poe2 I played about 60 hours when was released and today I decided to learn as much as possible this game and I hope it becomes my main game.
*Questions about items: 1. What items should I keep for trade? 2. Are the items worth disenchanting (the Rare one) or selling them to the vendor for gold? 3. Is there any addon to know the approximate price? 4. *Questions about endgame: 1. What happens if you die in Atlas? I understood that you are losing that map 2. In Atlas, do you spend most of your time in the endgame? 3. Is it hard to take a character to lvl 100? I think that also in Atlas need to farm for xp to make lvl max. 4. When you are in the endgame do you have to regularly change the items you have? For example, if you are lvl 70 and you grind to lvl 80, do you need to update your item set to progress for 80+? Sorry for my bad English and thanks for reading this post! I hope to receive your help. Thank you! Last bumped on Feb 26, 2025, 4:29:39 PM

1. You are late to the "league" inflation is huge and most people want end game gear. You find items that have 6 good modifiers for a build they will be in demand. You learn ilvl of bases, what mods roll etc. from poe2db
2. selling and disenchantingg is early game stuff, for most we just disenchant as a way to get rid of bad items. Players have hundreds of millions of gold now. Early on, sell some so you can respec as needed. 3. IDK whats offically legal, but yes pricing add on exist. 1. You die, the map ends. Your 6 portals are mainly to invite friends, or enter/exit the map multiple times. Lots of bad players felt this too hard for doing bosses, so the easy mode Pinnacle bosses allow you to reenter a few times now (level 0-3) 4 is still 1 try i believe. 2. I dont fully understand this question, but people do bossing, atlas map runs, or trials. for end game profits. 3. Hard? Long yes. 4. Some items can't be equiped until lvl 84, and gems lvl 90 - But if you get great gear early it wont need replacing often unless really trying to mind max. There is a point where you 1 shot pinnacle bosses, why get more dps/defense? But some enjoy that - Mainly the end game is reaching X amount of dps, then adding rarity to it, then added movement speed to it. |

*Questions about items:
1. All currency is good for trading 2. Maybe at the start D/E is good. I sell mine because I have gold problems. 3. Google POE II Overlay *Questions about endgame: 1. If you die in the atlas all modifiers on that node get removed including the towers that was affecting that node, your waystone you used gets consumed, 10% XP lose. Map can be reattempted unless its something like Citadel 2. Yes but there are other options for farming gear outside of atlas such of Trial of Chaos 3. Yes it can be, Atlas will be the best way to farm XP using high tier maps. 4. Not required but it helps :) Website is down.

4. Mostly incremental upgrades once you start mapping.
That said check "ítem modifiers" on poe2db.tw. For example, if you're hoping to get the best 35% Movement Speed on boots, its item level 82. Another example if I want Expert Steel Plate base on my Warrior to craft chest armor, it's level 70. |

Unless you plan on doing some multiplayer just pick SSF league. Then you don't have to worry about what to trade, how much it's "worth", and you'll spend more time learning about the game crafting your own items. (yes it is a lot of RNG but as for all RNG games you learn about the odds and putting the odds in your favour when you use your currency).
