The end of all discussion

PoE 1 and 2 are both P2W in China.

Tencent has bought GGG a few years back.

No matter how much we complain, beg, ask for change. Nothing will be done. "The vision" is what drives them. It is just like governments in Europe. People say no, "our leaders" say yes. Same thing.

We are the "free plebs". We get the leftovers. We will never get the good stuff as China has it because then China would QQ.

This is where we're at. All you need to know.

It's almost like a small group of friends who loved what PoE1 delivered, and what PoE2 promised, needs to band together, form a company, and create an incredible game....

You know, how GGG started before selling off to Tencent.
Poe has always been pay to win game. Trade league is full of RMT or that one site that trades in funky gold. You can’t play standard league with out getting spammed with websites selling currency. So much RMT likely going on.

Been playing HC SSF until GGG does something about the pay to win aspect of the game.
Frankly, anyone who cant just play a game like this and focus on having fun and thinks they are going to "win" is going to have a bad time and be met with the cold fist of reality eventually.

This isn't a game you "win" at for the average person any more than the NFL is.

It's a great time if you don't worry about all the BS and just have fun with your friends though.

By “win” I’d assume people achieve this by getting gear and decking out there characters.

China players have access to a pet that follows them and auto loots for them.

Then the rampant RMT of people buying currency for very cheap.

Why farm 20 div an hour when 3 bucks can result in same thing?

GGG needs to figure out if they want RMT/pay to win in there game I think.. I personally hate pay to win games but trade league currently is pay to win
I just wanna chime in once more.

I think my point has been proven with the great new 0.2.0 update news.

Players:

"Towers really really suck."

GGG:

"That's okay. We hear you. Let us make a crap mechanic into an even more annoying one. You will soon have another hunt-a-rare map with crappy layouts that you never asked for."

Players:

"We need 0.2.0 to be good so people come back. Trade is kinda stale atm."

GGG:

"We hear you and listen to our community. Here is 5 new support gems that nobody asked for or cares about!"

Players: "So what else is coming?"

GGG:

"We hear you. We are not like those other greedy companies. Here are some new supporter packs to generate revenue for us..err..Make you guys enjoy the game more so you can marvel at your shiny character stuck behind a bunch of vases or some additional pillars like in crypt. We think you really will enjoy randomly exploding as you cannot get out of a situation because you vaulted onto a pebble and now cannot move anymore."

Players: "So we gonna get a melee buff? Animations feel slow and clunky!?"

GGG:

"We hear you. We are not like the other greedy companies. We have shown you the current most played ascendancies for a reason. We are not telling you yet, but we are looking into nerfing the crap out of the most played builds and variants to get them more aligned with the least played classes. We want you to die a slow death like a rat stuck on a gluetrap for weeks so you really get the most out of it whilst you can."

ggg is in an unenviable spot.

they want slow and methodical game play but a lot of players want zoom zoom.

for EA release, they overpromised and rushed the game out.

a lot of skills were over performing.

when they got back from the holidays they realized that they need to do something about those skills. but many players were enjoying those zoom zoom builds a great lot.

GGG then decided that they will NOT nerf the builds as a lot of players are still enjoying them. nerfing the builds would also mean players may have spent tons of divines only to have their builds nerfed to the ground. this does not feel good.

zoom builds are the majority. mace users are the minority. so they will cater to the majority.

at least for now. ggg does want to make changes but they have made the decision to put all reworks/nerfs on hold until they release a new temp league/economic reset. this way players affected by the nerfs wont feel that their fun has been taken away too much as most of POE player base tends to like temp leagues.

the result is mace users like me just leave the game. it is to be expected as ggg as catering to others. why must i play the inferior version of the game?

i might return after they release the new major patch or the official release but it all depends on ggg and how they balance the game
