Re-envisioned PoE2 - Mecha game?

I was playing my Deadeye character with the Brigador soundtrack in the background, and I was having a blast. That made me think, would it have been a good idea for GGG to make a mecha ARPG, instead?

Here are a few reasons that I'm thinking:

1) It wouldn't be compared to PoE1. There is a push and pull right now between whether PoE2 should be less like PoE1 or more like it. I think if the context (and name) were different, we would be more comfortable letting PoE2 be its own thing.
2) We can give up on melee. I think we can all agree that melee always struggled to be fun in PoE1 or PoE2. By being mecha-focused, GGG could have given up on melee for good, if they wanted to. They could always incorporate it too, but I think by giving it up, you give GGG a lot more room to make a great ranged ARPG.
3) I think there are a ton of fantasy ARPGs out there, Diablo, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, and so on. There aren't that many sci-fi/mecha themed ARPGs, and GGG could have really flexed their creative muscles in this under-served market.

Like many others? do/did at some point, I felt weird on the concept of Energy Shield.
And realized the meaning of "1HP". It's a last drop of life. (ES is a vaporized lifeforms.)

Then imagined what if we encountered a mysterious scientific significance (losing a major part of our body during the event) and contracted rather than martial arts or magic ?

WolfGuy "low life" mechanics reminds me of this. Seems "Zombie Hunter" series (novel) are not published in English. The author tried to imagine "the life and future of a dehumanized humanity" (and threw away at the end of the story.) In that sense, "AKIRA" and "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" are sequels to that work.

Well, we need a purpose to perform w/e organic, spiritual or mecha skill in the first place. :P
