Loot Drops - improve w/ level
Items should just be better as the level improves.
And not the hypothetical max, but the mins should drop off. When I have a LVL 84 Item the bottom 50% of possible tiers should just NOT drop. WTF do I have a lvl 84 item with 4 Tier 1 affixes? I mean there are about 1000 things they should do to items and this is just one, but please do something. Cause things suck right now. Last bumped on Mar 3, 2025, 6:08:28 AM

Yeah I agree. I never understood the policy of making it exceptionaly hard for players to get good gear and focus around trading.
PoE is an ARPG and mostly played singleplayer. Its focus lies in rolling new characters and trying out new and creative builds. So I wonder, what does GGG gain from making loot so scarce? I understand that it creates a dopamine kick to find something valuable, especially if its ultra rare, but is this really a good loot concept? This leads to 99% of the time being frustrated and 1% feeling lucky. I think some frustration is good and needed to increase engagement with the game, but PoE2 has so much of it, that I feel defeated by the loot table quite fast and therefore open up the trade site and buy what I want/need. But using trade is the exact opposite of having a dopamine kick. It feels bad, it feels wrong and I feel defeated by the game, because I didn't do it myself. But I dont have the patience to farm maps 500 hours to get that piece of equipment I need (and even that may not be enough). And the lack of a functioning crafting makes it even worse. It's a complete gambling mechanic, which I'm not a fan of. |

I totally agree.
The higher the monster level, the higher the probability of the occurrence of order affixes. It makes sense to kill high-level monsters. |

In this game it's impossible to gather good equip without trading. It's not good. All gameplay is about - farming divs and buying equipment.
In WoW was a great feature - bind on pickup or equip. It's making not possible to just buy all top items. It will be better to remove all this insane random and change progress in game to really getting good loot from gameplay and not just buy all. Now it's statistically impossible to get all good items. It has probability about 1 to 1 000 000 000 or less to get really good item with all usefull prefixes and postfixes for your character. |

Agree. I sometimes think they need to boost drop rates of the better build defining items and higher currencies that aren't dropping but you could probably fix a lot of the same issues simply by having less of the unnecessary garbage drop, that in itself would boost drop rates of good items.
Like you could probably make Pillar of the Cages God and Ghostwrite harder to get by a smidge so you can boost drop rates of other good gear. |

The game is based on trading. As the level increases, it becomes more difficult to get the desired item, you will not be able to get it yourself. But the market can.
You just need to earn faster than market inflation. Just that. Only the best can do this. If the drop level shifts along with your level, then the difficulty of the game will become linear, it will no longer be competitive, and the market will no longer be needed. Obviously, the authors don't want this. Yes, you can make life a little easier for players, but do not expect serious changes here. They will destroy the foundation of the game.
