Why PoE2 fails compared to PoE1.
In PoE1 by the time you have levelled a character to lvl90 or so, you have learnt new things and had so many ideas you want to try out that you are excited to start a new character to give your ideas a go, maybe even using the same type of build but with a different ascendancy from a different class. This is completely missing in PoE2, the builds' skill tree and ascendancy pathways are so obvious it removes a lot of creativity and almost all the replayability, please consider this issue as a high priority.
There is no inherent fun in grinding maps, maps are there to provide a playground for your character build, it is all about the build, juicing maps is not fun, its a necessity, it all comes down to how much fun it is to make characters, and build diversity/creativity, that is why people love arpg's. " I disagree here. I have so many ideas of things to try out its not possible to do. I dont have the time for that. Some i tried didnt really work because of the unfinished game.- For example chayula monk with physical quarterstaff skils and mind over matter cause mana leech on chayula is instant and works for es too. Then mana leech didnt work for physical spells for some reason. So i also wasnt able to do a chayula with bonestorm. Which i dont udnerstand to this day. The weapons say leech physical damage as mana. Not physical attack damage as mana thats two different modifiers. Last edited by Alzucard#2422 on Mar 3, 2025, 10:35:27 AM

" Yeah, I had many things to test and try too. I levelled all classes at least once to the endgame and some multiple times because of different ascendancies. It's obviously less variety compared to PoE1, but it makes sense when we are atm at 6/12 classes, 12/36 ascendancies, half the unique items, weapons, skills, missing supports etc. I would still play PoE2 at this moment IF we had all items in the game, but I tested most things I wanted so I am in a "waiting room" doing something else. Especially the new Passive Tree with the Weapon Sets is awesome to try some new ideas. The only thing I consider a "downgrade" from PoE1 to PoE2 is - that skills are tied to a single weapon type. Now skill x is only usable with maces and not with swords, axes, etc. too. Not the biggest issue because of the cool weapon swap mechanic, but a limitation I am not the biggest fan of. |
