Crafting bench necessary

This game feels like hot garbage without real crafting -- and lets not pretend POE 1 crafting is ANYWHERE NEAR deterministic... It's so convoluted most people can't manage more than essence 'crafting'.

Even all the major streamers immediately stopped playing (ziz most notably) after the interview with Darth and Ghazzy where GGG said they were "Happy with the state of crafting"

Multiple huge streamers pointed at that exact question and answer as the reason they are done with POE 2.


Zizaran early into POE 2 said "i don't care if it's fast or slow i'm gonna play it and love it regardless" -- and literally the day of that interview he quit POE 2.


POE 1 crafting bench is absolutely necessary to make the game feel good.

I don't know the POE1 system.
But you're spot on that it absolutely 100% needs crafting.
Based on your description - I would argue it probably needs a better crafting system than POE1.
And what better time than now to implement one?

I actually think the POE 1 system is exactly what they're looking for, but because POE 1 already uses that system they had to "redesign" it.

Many many many POE 2 players that try POE 1 are absolutely shocked at the things GGG has taken away for literally no reason.

Crafting in POE 1 is non deterministic enough. To create something significantly worse intentionally, against the wishes of damn near 100% of the playerbase is very hard to deal with...

Their game is on the edge of being great, and frankly the key to that is mostly in POE 1 systems. Every system in POE 2 is just a much worse version than POE 1.

It's a complicated system sure, but it allows you to do things that make the game enjoyable. As it is, 100% of gear is purchased.

Through 3 characters in their mid 90's I've fround ONE usable item. One. ONE.... FUCKING ONE, ONLY A SINGLE FUCKING ITEM. ONE...

I'm a homebound disabled person, my ass can play 18 hours a day easy. Trust me. I put in staggering amount of hours, and I've only found ONE usable high quality item (aside from Howa farming and such)
