Game Definitely Needs Work
I've had fun during this early access. The campaign is excellent, the boss fights are fun. The graphics are wonderful. Attack animations are clean and sound effects are superb. This game will be a masterpiece after a few more cycles of development. However....
It's painfully obvious the endgame is in pitiful state. There has got to be a better system for endgame than what's currently available. This trope of rifting at endgame while you just decide what difficulty to play at is old and tired. Please come up with a better system. I play as SSF. I have no interest in playing with others, or dealing with the online economy. After playing years of WoW and other various multiplayer games, I find SSF to be a more serene experience. I have been unable to level up past 80. I get one shot by surprise mechanics I can barely see. My resistances were almost maxed (aside from chaos...) and no matter what I do, I cannot get my health pool above 2000hp. I have been unable to gain any significant upgrades to my weapons despite the various crafting options. I've exhausted massive amounts of exalted orbs, chance orbs, divine orbs; have gambled millions of gold, etc... and have not been able to get past this point in the game...which I have been stuck at for last 2 months. I just can't get the gear to get my character to be durable enough to deal with the difficulty of tier 9+ maps. Every time I die, I lose 30 - 40min worth of gameplay exp. gain, which after dying a few dozen times gets extremely aggravating. I'm no longer experiencing progression, and now any time I spend trying to level up and gear my character just gets wasted by a death. Furthermore, I have been unable to get all my ascendancy points. You design a class around taking hits yet punish said class for taking such hits during your poorly designed trials. The honor system is stupid and needs to go. I've tried playing carefully, respeccing to more ranged talents (which is completely ridiculous btw....I'm playing a WARRIOR, not a god damn caster). Also, why do legendaries suck? Again, game is great overall, but the endgame really needs to either be reworked or tweaked significantly. Last bumped on Mar 6, 2025, 9:14:44 AM

" Early access is no excuse for this garbage. How long would it take to ajust loot drops and and the chance of getting good mods on gear? Early access isn't to blame for this and is no excuse lol |

" Are you arguing that because it's early access then it shouldn't receive any feedback? Because if so, then what is the point of early access? Furthermore, look at the first sentence of my post, you absolute tool. Last edited by AnTimaTTeR#1863 on Mar 5, 2025, 6:16:00 PM

" Early access doesn't mean anything if those taking part in it don't voice their concerns. Also, this constant rebuke of "muh but early access" is an extremely weak argument. |

" 100% It would be a different story is we saw a bunch of action on the devs part to address feedback/issues, but we have seen a dribble of hotfixes instead. It doesn't seem like the actions of a company trying to seriously push out a game within the 6-12 months that was said. Then you have the "but muh next league" argument, which is also lame. While player count is plummeting, why not introduce some big changes that will affect gameplay? Especially if they are presumably to be permanent. Nothing about any of the actions can really be seen as working to improve a game during a beta test. Instead, it seems that they are just going to do what they want to do, when they want to do it, and forget about the players. I see it as just trying to condition the players to be on their league scheduling, not rolling out a game and testing changes during this phase. Whatever. This is going to end up just like PoE, a niche little pseudo-gatcha for fake "hardcore" players to stroke each other's egos. |

Games should be fun. GGG needs to sit down, think about ideas for endgame but each one should pass through a question: is it fun? If the answer is not a resounding yes, the idea should go out. So the whole doubling-down on towers is such a bad sign, that this tells me they are not asking themselves the question. I don't mind them not listening too hard to what people say, everything that can be said will always be said ranging from amazing to horrible, describing any given mechanic. However, surely they played their own game, played through towers and 3hrs later discovered juicing this way for 30min fun run, maybe (with few and far between good drops to boot) is just tedious and not fun?
