Itemized Corpse questions
A few questions regarding itemized corpses.
How do I rez one as a spectre? (I want to do it right, so I don't lose it.) If I rez one as a spectre, is it bound to my account, or can I re-itemize it to give to someone else? If I rez one as a spectre, is it bound to the character that rezzed it? In other words, once the Phercia league ascendancies are gone, can I move it to another character? Thanks!! You cannot itemize spectres.

Spectres come form two sources: monster corpses and itemized corpses. Not all monster corpses can be raised as a Spectre but most can. If you raise a magic, rare, or unique monster, you still only get the normal variety without any special modifiers. Your Spectres then show up in your Desecrate database or Spectre bank (last 10 Spectres you've raised from monsters). You and any party members with you / in the same zone as you will then have those corpses periodically appear in your corpse pool when casting Desecrate.
Itemized corpses are the only corpses that can be traded via a trade window and are obtained exclusively through Ritual (or trading). They are a 1 time consumable item, and once used can never be recovered back to an itemized item. You can only raise it into a Spectre. These will never appear in your Desecrate database, and new ones need to be obtained each time you want to replace them. |

Yeah be careful with going over your spectre limit, because if one of the itemized ones gets kicked you will need a new item to get it back.
I think it is pretty user friendly to use otherwise. From memory you click the item, then the silhouette appears on the ground and you can raise it. If you've got any automatic corpse spawning or consumption mechanics on your build you might want to turn them off while raising it. Unsure if other party members can see or interact with the silhouette while it's on the ground, but it's only one use. Don't think it is possible to put it back in itemized form. Thanks for all the info!
Assume that you purchase and raise an itemized corpse. As I understand it, if you then remove the item with the raise-spectre gem in your hideout, the corpse will appear on the ground, and once you re-equip the raise-spectre gem, you can re-raise the itemized corpse. Is that correct? If that is correct, and you crash or log out before raising it, will it be there when you get back in? If so, can you come back in with another character and raise it? Thanks! |

I think how it works is:
Item is in inventory Click item to consume/use corpse, while in safe area and conditions for raising Corpse silhouette appears on ground Use you corpse targeting key to target the corpse While targeting the corpse, use your raise Spectre skill. Corpse will be raised as a spectre (Not 100% certain but I think that is how it works) If you are in trade league and concerned about wasting a particular corpse, it might be worth getting some cheap items to practice with. Making sure none of your other skills are interfering during raising it. Not just the raising but also the using. There are a lot of things to get use to. Like if you take out the skill gems or take off/ brick attribute on your items that effect your skills or spectre limit it can destroy the spectres. Also knowing if it is strong enough while in battle. Aslo be aware of the order they are raised in if you are wanting to change the set up. I think the only way you can interact with them is first in first out. Which is fine for regular spectres, but might cause the coprse item spectres to be kicked and not able to re-summonable. I'm not completely sure about this, I played some spectres in necro/settlers, but don't have that much experience with them. They are really fun and powerful to use, but a bit finnicky to get use to. Unsure if it remains in the hideout in the case of disconnect or swapping character. It might for a short time if the same instance is returned to, but it might not. They don't work exactly like the spectre bank does where you can bring up all the corpses at will. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Mar 21, 2025, 7:10:50 AM
