If you were using Hyper x ngenuity to autoclick/keypress anything or to trigger multiple skill uses or other in game actions from a single keystroke or mouse click that was what triggered your ban. If not, I don't know, nothing else you mentioned is problematic.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?

This is addressed primarily to GGG support.
I know you can't influence policy but ask that you pass this up chain to someone who can. The PC gaming situation has changed significantly in the decade since your initial ban on macros in POE1. At the time macroing either required autohotkey which was somewhat niche and which most people using knew was pushing the envelope, or cheat tools that were obviously against rules. Today it's included as a feature of the software that most gaming keyboards and mice. That's both normalized it to a degree, and made it widely available to less sophisticated users who're less likely to understand that it is potentially problematic. Because of that change in the environment, I feel in the case of macros your normal policy of being deliberately vague on the assumption that anyone violating your rules is doing so knowing that what they did isn't permitted needs changed. Lots of people today are going to think their keyboards macros are nothing wrong. Unless you change your policy to allow it, you need to be explicit in warnings and ban messages because you're going to be hitting a bunch of people who legitimately won't think they're doing anything wrong and will have no idea what they were banned for. You also should include "macros are not allowed" to the in game tip messages shown at startup to prevent unwitting users from being banned. " All I can say then is good luck. I don't think just having your keyboard/mouse software installed but not doing anything should be a problem - they'd be having massive ban waves, and massive complaints, if it was. Unfortunately, as alluded to in the message I wrote to support based on my original theory, GGG has historically operated on the assumption that anyone their anti-cheat accuses both knows they're cheating and are cheating in more ways than were detected. (When they first added anti-cheat to POE1 the second point may have true, there was an all inclusive cheat tool being widely abused at the time.) Based on those assumptions they've always been extremely vague in communications out of fear they might tip actual willful cheaters off as to which they're getting away with. Unfortunately that has left anyone who is unwitting breaking the rules or who may have suffered from a false positive, with no useful recourse.
