Changing Animate Guardian Gear

Hey,

is there a way to change the gear of my animate guardian? I would like to switch his Weapon.

I know that there is a craft called "animate guardian drops items on death", so do i need to get him killed?

Normally when it dies you loose all the gear, but if you have that mod on the chest, the chest item will drop when it dies so you can reuse it. To replace the current gear, just do the same as you did for equipping them originally. You will loose the equipped items though.

I think if you equip a new chest on the AG, when the chest has that mod, it will not drop an you will loose it, because the AG has not died. Uncertain though, never tried it.
