I have hundreds of hours into poe2 already and even with the last few fixes/adjustments i still almost quit into t2 maps. i played through with a bleed huntress, NOT LS broken build, and was having a good time actually. then i got my later lvl points and wanted to spec into evasion with acrobatics and found out ON ACCIDENT online that there is no true evasion like just about EVERY SINLGE game that has evasion. the entropy mechanic that exists is pure garbage and as soon as i found out i wasted all this time this league going into evasion i got dejected and lost all hype and motivation to keep playing the huntress. if i didnt already have another hyped character/build i wanted to play i would have just quit. the fact there isnt even anything in game about entropy is so disingenous and a flat out lie to the player saying you can evade. evade means im going to EVADE but entropy completely negates that. two competing mechanics into one is stupid. i have taken every major evasion node i can in the green area and im just done. i know you devs think everyone wants offense but there is 2 other playstyles people like to try if the skills are interesting to play with. its all defense and being the unkillable tank that sacrifices damage and then there is the middle ground where there is some danger if you misplay but you are generally safe and you still do notable damage. why is this such a hard thing to let players do?
The fact that devs are saying they dont know whats wrong with armor is very concerning as a simple ol player. its pretty easy and obvious. one thing is the big hits/slams barely get mitigated so just adjust the numbers of said hits against armor lol. also pretty easy concept that has been around forever is what scales with each other/off each other? attack speed scales with damage and vise versa. well its the EXACT thing hp defense. LIFE/HP scales with defenses and vise versa. so if there is no good way to get life your armor problem is exactly that, A PROBLEM. lol. loot STILL feels bad. you have all the blasters that play this game religiously/as a job that massively inflates the economy in a very short period then expect normal players to just accept they cant get any gear progression and expect them to stay around. your main concern is irrelevant about if loot is to frequent they will get bored because they ARE ALREADY getting bored of never getting anything or being able to afford anything. if crafting was better it wouldnt be so bad but right now it all just feels bad. Endgame should especially have better currency drops at least. There is no true build variety in comparison to how many skill nodes on the tree there are and how many skill gems and support gems because alot of combos are negated by all the negatives you put into everything. this thing does this but you have to sacrifice all your attack speed to use it type of mentallity is REALLY weird. and with defenses being garbage except energy shield that further makes diversity not really diversity. so you think my choice to have more energy shield or faster energy shield is "diversity"? along with the last section, i am totally in favor of combos existing and i enjoy certain ones but the major problem isnt just monsters interupting, it takes to long, ect. Its that it is almost NNOOO damage payoff that is worth it for doing them!! since there is always some kind of weird argument without actually thinking about it i will give an exapmle. if said combo takes 3skills to do or like 5 seconds of set up and the damage is a 50k hit but i can just spam one skill for 5 seconds that hit at 18k per second WWHHHYYYYY would i ever choose the combo?? monster damage is and has been to high for the defenses being bad and no good way to get hp. not everything needs to tickle but not everything needs to make you feel on deaths door. example is the blood zeolots exploding the ground is almost always a one shot or close to it until you get way better gear/hp. alot of the times they are off screen(insert diablo 4 complaints) or the are very dark in the environment and you dont even see or BARELY see the red circle under you. I hope this reaches some devs that actually want real feedback from a longtime gamer. i seen the interview today where "Mr Rogers" said he has played and enjoyed so many types of games back back since ps1 and im just like ok then alot of these things should be fixed. ive been playing since nintendo and know hard games that were naturally hard like ninja turtles swimming in the electric area. this forced "difficulty" of just making things hit hard without a way to bolster defences reliably isnt fun when the art, graphics, feel of the skills and how they interact are all so top notch. this game is good and it can be so much better. " Get rid of evasion, instead of deflection we get evasion. Also nerf CI to only make it poison immune, max 1 life and +15% max chaos resistance! Armour and defenses are only garbage if you didn't understood them. ES being just literally OP, evasion making the game to easy and armour needs investment.
