Whisper sound is not audible at all (or at least much too quiet)

Please change the notification sound of incoming whispers back to what it was in PoE or something similar.

The PoE 2 whisper sound is not really audible at all.

I have it set to maximum together with loot filter. Everything else is turned way down but the max volume up. I miss whispers while sitting at my pc directly in front of my speakers cause I looked away for one second and global was moving a bit too fast. It's impossible to walk away for a minute with sounds turned up and do something else without missing trades.

Please consider changing the sound back or at least using another sound that actually notifies you and doesn't blend into nothing.

in poe 1 you can hear whispers even with music/ background noice.

in poe 2 it´s not audible and also contributes to the frustration people are having with the trade system- i searched for this topic after missing several trade requests yesterday.

Inside poe2_production_Config.ini (in the same folder where your poe2 item filter is) you can manually change the value of chat_alert_sound_volume to above 100, I put mine at 2000 and it makes all whispers very clear, even though the default sound is bad.

you can set the volume of everything in the game, so just locate the sliders and set everything else to 50% and then your whispers to 100. compensate the overall sound by using windows volume

To partially solve this issue you need to edit the file

C:\Users\<User Name>\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile 2\poe2_production_Config.ini

search for the key => chat_alert_sound_volume and change the value from 100 to at least 500.

I find 1000 a bit loud.

Do this without the game running then start the game.

I tried this and will find out whether it works once I'm back to PoE 2.

I really wish they would add an option to let us choose between the PoE 1 sound and the new one.

i agree. i tried the workaround and i´m still not convinced. maybe i need to up it to OVER 9k! ;)
