Loot is actually great. GGG knows what they are doing.

Adjustments are always needed, but overall loot should remain exciting. Good and useful loot should be less common or rare. One of the very best feelings you get from playing is when you get a good drop. People wanting more will bring down all of us.

Two of the reasons people cry out for more loot:

- fair or not, some people only derive fun from seeing loot on the floor at a frequency that maintains the skinner box effect. Experimenting with builds, the combat flow, these do not excite them, only loot and the sound effect from certain drops keeps them going. Loot may not be gear itself, but just currency: some people derive fun from getting ahead in the market.

- some people have not adapted to the PoE 2 combat system. It's one thing to be competent but not find the combat exciting, it's another to not know how to deal with 1v50 fights or to find the number of active skills needed to be too exhausting. So getting overpowered gear lets them skip the combat system.
+1

Agreed.

Players just need to realize that the baseline for everything is lower. It doesn't make loot bad. It honestly makes it so casuals are on more even-footing than non-casuals compared to poe1.
wow what a misrepresentation of the problem.
loot is not great, you can trade much better gear for a few orbs then what you can find and trading is a problem for itself because its wasteing time
thank you for establishing that you have a complete, fundamental misunderstanding of what people are even complaining about.

try to educate yourself before forming opinions maybe.
That's true, I love games that don't respect my time and force me to use a horrible trading system to function on a non-meta build.

This is probably even correct in a way that loot should be rare. I have seen what Diablo 4 does and it killed the game for me. Raining legendaries when you defeat a boss. Defeated all purpose of loot for me.

You compare one extreme with the other, whats needed is something in the middle of both.

Agree with this. I want to feel good about the loot I get. I also want more player choice than RNG gamble.

Right now, it feels worse than a Korean casino MMORPG. End game loot is a much more complex issue that will take time to resolve.

Campaign loot issues could be easily resolved soon, as it's currently centered around trade and not crafting/SSF for 95% of players. Drops should just be improved. Getting players easily integrated into the start of end game isn't going to kill the vision.
