[0.2.0g] Third ascendancy comparison

I'm right now at the start of endgame with another character and the Ultimatums and Baryas dropped feel too different. Fir instance, a lvl 68 ultimatum can't give you your third ascendancy notable but a lvl 68 sekhema barya can.

Maybe it's a matter of difficulty? If this is the case i get it, but sekhemas now drops a lot of good items, ultimatum just dropped me soul cores. And i feel sekhemas easier if you understand the mechanics and get good relics. Ultimatum it's more wild and lethal, also faster.

i wish to have option and make all asc on ultimatum. Tanky/slow hitting Hammer builds are not made for sekhama early. Or at least to sekhama to be second and not first asc. But.. it's like it's.

I agree on the level discrepancy, I always get my ascendancies in Sekhemas, because it just requires less character power.

However, once your character has sufficient power to overcome the trial of chaos, it kinda flips around. Now Sekhemas is just really long, and the trial of chaos becomes relatively quick and easy.

If I wanted to respec my ascendancy, I'd do a trial of chaos now.

I am inclined for difficulty as well. It's a bit carried over from Path of Exile 1 since Sanctum (Sekhema) was a lot easier on its arrival than how Ultimatum was (again on its arrival).

Sekhema on one hand is giving you tools: relics -> honor resistance, movement speed, keys (if you choose loot route), damage reduction (for bosses) or damage increase (for player).

Ultimatum on the other hand is "taking" from you: you get "afflicted" with a "debuff" every round: some are manageable for your build, but others can pretty much just end the run, no doubt. I think is balanced like this because, as you have said, is much faster.

At the end, though, I don't see Ultimatum (Chaos) being changed/reworked or "buffed", maybe small adjustments to certain mods to feel a bit less "deadly".
