ideas for new monster types

Hello.
This thread is to share ideas for new monster types / monster abilities that could be added to the game to make combat more engaging. Feel free to share your own. These are mine: 1) monsters with channel abilitie: the monster starts channeling and the player has time to either kill or crowd control it. The mob is more easily effected by crowd control during the channel animation. If he finishes the channel, he casts something powerful like a meteor shower coming from the sky or a 2) monsters that evolve during combat: if you ignore those mobs for too long, they become stronger, visually that can be represented by evolution in real time: one monster grows wings, another grows a horn and another gets large claws. Of course the monsters then also are more powerful gamneplay wise, like having a new attack pattern, more hp and higher offensive potential. 3) monsters that parry: those monsters go into a visually distinct parry state and if you hit them during that time, they'll get damage reduction and unleash a powerful counter attack 4) monsters that support their allies: monsters that buff, shield and otherwise support their allies 5) assassin like monsters that suddenly appear out of nowhere and ambush the player Last bumped on May 22, 2025, 6:59:50 AM
