Why Doesn't GGG Conduct Weekly Surveys?

Yes, most games in early access do regular weekly surveys in the community rather than solo feedback, and collect a collective feedback analysis at once about things that need to be changed or adjusted, and the R&D department acts on this data in future updates and brings buffs, nerfs or changes. But Poe2's progress is currently at a snail's pace. I wonder why they don't do regular surveys once a week and evaluate the situation for the community.

Why would they? The Vision guides them, not player feedback. If they actually wanted your feedback they wouldn’t have made you pay for beta access.

It's the vision being based on the waterfall way and motivated by corporate business decisions.

I'm not a fan of Agile TM at all but a feedback loop is needed in most companies if not all of them.

They are somehow accepting some of the feedback but it often feel like a bandaid to what people are actually reporting.

Like when ppl were mad about losing exp on death, they removed gaining/losing exp in pinnacle events and people felt happy but this is actually a terrible solution. We can no longer gain exp easily in area 82 like simulacrum making the grind to level harder.

The mindset of the dev lead team is that each time they buff something, they feel like it's mandatory to nerf something underlying that buff to match their vision balance. Just like any unique that might have any potential and is very weak, they add an explicit drawback on top of something already super weak.

Some of the feedback is difficult to implement whilst some of it is quite easy. Ultimately, when it comes to easy fixes, the only thing that gets in the way is "The Vision" and egocentrism.

If they cared about player feedback the affix tier change would have happened day 1 when people were like "wtf, why?"

I see streamers claiming the patch is good news. But I read only one good thing, the tier affix change. Everything else is bandaiding symptoms without addressing core problems producing those symptoms.

If they do serveys people will shit all over the VISION.

Vision boy wont like that. Vision boy wants to do minimal effort and colect mtx money for his new bosses.

It is good to see the majority of the community recognising exactly who the problem is.

Unfortunately there's not much we can do shout that except perhaps a partition sent to tencent.

In the meantime we can only continue to highlight what needs fixing and hope the replacement is Mark.
