Came back after break... and left
Gave a shot to a new character... figured that maybe I can still give it a try. After getting stuck on a boss... being one shot over and over...

I'm in a similar boat. I heard alot about there being a boost to item drops and getting more things you needed. Level 50, act 1 cruel. Killed 3 rares and got 1 item each and just a few piles of gold.... doesn't look like anything going on in reality... maybe endgame is where you actually get drops but the leveling and campaign are still awful and slow. So it doesn't look like I'll ever make it to the endgame at this rate. Guess I'll wait another month to see if they actually make any real meaningful changes to the campaign.

Im in that boat too. redownloaded, logged in, logged out and uninstalled in less than 20 minutes?
my reason was different though. my characters tree said hey, come spend 79 skill points, and im like uhhh i gotta relearn or just wing it and mess something else up and play a weird halfass build. i looked at the price of divine, 250:1 ok and the item i wanted went from ~20div up to 260-300div and I said yup, the only skill I truly want to play and interested in isn't in them game ( righteous fire ) so im still hopeful that'll come soon. and lastly the reason for not starting fresh, starting over, is cause i don't care to waste time making a new character with some build that doesn't work ( I wanted to see how high i could get item rarity, and just purely maxing that number to see what'd happen ) but im also the type were its like why bother, no idea when the new season came out, didn't bother looking it up, figured prices have maybe gone up, and the season would end soon. so why give away all that time just to say, damn i liked that character but the season is over now that im getting into it. wtf am I suppose to do? "" oh well, delete this cool build I spend time working on just to start it over because the economy "" it's such a bad loop that every ARPG has dug its grave into. I'd still love an offline trade auction house style system too, cause 'trying' to trade with these bots/price fixers/etc... nahhhh... gimme RF so i can autopcruise around n get loot, gimme an actual system I can trade, and maybe Ill come back and spend more. until then, Im not willing to just throw my time out on a closed beta. |

Righteous Fire... I feel like devs kind of hate this skill. They have persistently nerfed it in POE.1... almost to a point that it is barely playable. RF was my first lvl 100 character in POE1.
I agree... I love RF - easy playstyle. You have an hour or two in evening... you want some easy time... you just go... OK you don't kill uber bosses... who cares if you have fun. But Path of Vision says "More Pain - Less Gain" ;) |

dont think ive ever been 1 shot by a campaign boss since my first playthrough when beta first came out. The !1 shot abilities "are heavily telegraphed there is a loud noise and the boss flashed red! what more do you want?

Same. If I get 1 shotted, its because I'm not paying attention. The game is not that hard. I don't play in SSF, but I may as well because I don't trade. I have found 1 divine since starting my Huntress and honestly haven't had a need for them. I have not looked up any builds either this time around and just plugged passives in that looked good. I'm on T5/T6 Maps now.

honesttly I never played any arpg before but Iive never had problems with campaign tbh, yeah it was a bit difficult with jamanra first time but when you know a boss attacks you can defeat him with any equipment lol
this league campaign was much easier because of knowledge abt the game |

Their "vision" has introduced some problems, but the "difficult" during campaign has nothing to do with it. The actual problem is a lack of balance and how non beginner friendly this game can be.
Some "balanced" builds can handle campaign pretty easily. Other "not-yet-balanced" builds will have a lot of trouble with that content. Even worse if you have no idea what you're actually doing and just "trying things". If you watch the upcoming race event, you will see people melting most campaign bosses starting from zero and finishing act 3 pretty fast. |
