Remake towers and introduce scarabs to poe 2.

I dont mind that the game is "open world" and you cannot choose they type of map that you want to do. But.

Chasing map setups with multiple towers in order to have the maps juiced is the most anti fun feature in the game. And if you dont do it you fall behind in currency and cant afford anything. I am sure most people would agree with me that this is not fun at all.

The idea of towers isnt bad in itself. just remake it to something else? Some special events that get progressively harder or unique boss fights? I am sure the devs can think of something.

Let us juice the maps directly from hideout with scarabs only or if you really want to keep the current system then dont ever make towers overlap and this way every map would be worth doing? There are multiple ways to make the game much more enjoyable but the current system is just bad.

Surprised noone has replied to this lol. Guess the game is perfect/or too dead right now lol
I would prefer the whole atlas gets scrapped tbh.

There's way too much time being spent looking for maps that you actually want to play.

Also, looking for citadels cause they get you 1-4 divs guaranteed means you have to do content you don't want to do to get there (i.e. bad maps, juicing up 3 neighboring towers for double frag drop).

feels BAD

That's a very narcissistic thing to say.

Maybe you should try explaining what is a scarab first before anything else, because I have no clue.
scarab is a fragment in poe1 that you can put into your map device along with your map that guarantees certain outcomes: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Scarab.

A perfectly fine system that for some unknown reason got scrapped and traded for manually completing dozens of empty maps in order to be able to prep the content you want to farm.

That does look pretty nice, much better than the randomness of prefixes and suffixes we have now.

Even more so if I could have a scarab that lets me choose which map I want to run, which could probably be done with some of them changing the map that you're entering in the Atlas.

For example, a scarab that changes the map you're entering to a Beach so I could run only that if I wanted to.

A man can hope...

In the interview they did say they wanted to change the towers system, so hopefully it will get better soon.

Another thing I wish is that delirium wasn't mandatory, or at the very least delirium fog didn't exist.

Until then we cope
Yeah not a big fan of the current atlas state.

I personally think they should have a static atlas like POE1 in the current 3D environment. And if you want to this infinite Delve option then you can select that after getting out of the static area.

But really I'm open to any ideas that have a fun gameplay loop. Searching for tower layouts, rolling tablets, and scrolling around an infinite atlas with limited zoom out isn't doing it for me. Also we've definitely lost the satisfaction of completing the atlas/points that POE1 had.

+ that progression of your mechanics was A tier in POE1. Nothing like starting out with 0 points with a blank slate, to slowly seeing your mechanics become your vision on every map.
