If GGG messes up combat, I'm out

I watched the interview with Tri the other day and Jonathan said they're looking into speeding things up without messing up combat too much?

That made me cringe in the idea of this game turning in yet another mindless farming/walking sim game. I hate zoom/brainless gameplay because it's boring and that's a major reason I like playing this game. If GGG wants to make this game for everyone then that's their choice I guess but in the end of the day, a game for everyone is for no one.
