The DPS and Defense requirements to beat end game version of Balbaa are ridiculous
This is the first time I manage to beat this boss fight.
Pirasha herself is quite tough because she's Balbala. Back in Ac2, you needed to really understand dodging and to learn to find her quickly when she releases the poison gas. All while she summons a couple of Balbala Clones. That alone is a troublesome boss. The endgame version is the same, except that the number of clones seems to be completely uncapped. These clones are also way too sturdy. You need to spend your dps on them quickly or they will fill the screen. If you don't die to getting surrounded by shadows or by losing track of one of Balbala's attacks you'll die of the lag. This time I finally beat her for the first time - On a Tier 1 Waystone after really improving my build. I was making Rares explode. Did a couple of Rituals too. Everything was a breeze until the Balbala fight. And BTW, I am sturdy enough to take her own attacks quickly. To the point that when the amount of clones started getting ridiculous, I basically ignored Balbala altogether, just spamming AoE to deal with the shadows while some of the damage got to the acutal boss. I have chaos innoculation so the poison cloud doesn't damage me. That's my one chance of cleaning up the clones and THEN triggering Balbala's attack. But near the end even that was too crazy, there were so many Clones that it was impossible to avoid "finding" Balbala and ending the poison cloud. So yeah, I beat this boss but it's still quite ridiculous. Just nerf the clones, lol. I swear they are more sturdy than rares with resistances. Also a cap wouldn't hurt. After 30 clones, does it really matter if the game adds more clones? At that point you are only going to cause lag. Last bumped on May 31, 2025, 12:35:51 AM

I don't agree. No nerf to bosses, none of them.
I can get behind people wanting one shot mechanics to be more visible or changing the one shot mechanic of pinnacle bosses to something potentially tankable, but that's about it. Every boss is in a good place right now, some being a little too easy but none is hard enough to need a nerf. |

this boss can be indeed more difficult that other , but you are noticing this only because you are not playing light spear or any other OS build.
This the thing now on POE; you use some kind of exploit to deal ridiculous amount of damage or you are going to have a very hard time . Devs or not going to balance these thing because most of player are not learning boss mechanic, they don't need too(and don't want too), you stack damage and just one shoot the boss. this the only "good" way to play the game You can also play some smith of kitava build to be nearly immune to damage. if you are having a hard time beating tier 1 boss, i think its better you post your build and ask for suggestion rather than assume the boss is too difficulty and should be nerfed
its tier 1 boss you don’t need LS build to beat it |

OP is right, map Balbala is harder than the average map boss.

" My lich is far tankier than my smith of kitava. Also I've killed every boss without lightning spear on 3 separate builds this league. Please stop spreading false narratives because you're feeling some sort of way. My lich DPS blows but is tanky and kills bosses slow but without danger, my Titan can barely be considered tanky but does good damage and kills bosses faster but with more chance to be one shot by juiced content, my Incinerate PF is another mid-dps but fast character able to move at near 100% speed while casting. 3 different play styles, 3 built to do different things with different versions of damage and defense, all capable of clearing content. So once again, stop. Last edited by Seanprice798#2395 on May 29, 2025, 9:43:28 PM

" Man, you make me feel ashamed of me... I died to it =( (no joke) while I was builing my char, but still I died Also, somehow the shadow clone was immortal, kept spawning/ress even after boss died... |

" Both the Forge's Giant with a dagger/lasers & Hidden Grotto's Skeletal firebreathing Monstrosity have HORRENDOUS hitboxes, particularly for players striking them with melee/unarmed attacks. In some cases the terrain glitches the character under the floor and map is effectively lost at that point. Last edited by LeFlesh#9979 on May 30, 2025, 12:01:10 AM

" I do agree those fights aren't good, but that has nothing to do with what I said. Those bosses aren't hard, they're just... bad. They don't need a nerf, they need to get fixed. |
