[NEW FEATURE REQUEST] Possible solution to player speed - SPRINT

Hey guys,

I just had an idea which may have been suggested before, but it occurred to me while playing the new PoE 1 expansion. Almost immediately after playing, you get a quicksilver flask to speed up your entire early game and make the game feel significantly faster-paced than PoE 2.

A solution to the slow start of PoE 2 could be a built-in SPRINT key, like many 3d action games use now. Using SPRINT could quickly drain your STAGGER meter just like blocking would, and would of course make you more vulnerable to getting stunned if you aren't careful sprinting through an area.

This would speed up traversal in the early game when you are just passing through empty or cleared areas, and would be something fun to invest in with gear and on the tree. Reminiscent of D2, where you have to manage your stamina as you are progressing through the early acts.

Could bind it to the SHIFT key or on controller R3 or L3.

Thanks for developing PoE 2!

Great idea.
+1 make it so it fils the stagger bar up to 99% but never staggers you itself. So you have the risk of being on the edge of staggering but if you don't get hit you'll be fine.

Yes
Sounds cool. Don't expect much, though.
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?
