Mac standalone client still broken after almost 2 years. Please fix and test the fix this time.

The Mac standalone client has been broken forever. I gave up on it in August 2024 but it was unusable even before then. The workaround for the issues are legion because GGG have been unable to address them. Most of the work arounds are now dead ends. One still works - once in a dozen times (the fix for "File is damaged ..."

To make things worse - one of the notes in the latest release was a line that stated a fixed had been made for a Mac client crash. It was unclear if this was for both standalone and Steam or just one of them and if just one, which one.

It turns out that the fix, whatever it was, didn't work, or was not tested. I logged on yesterday only to get the very same error message I was getting in August 2024. After getting by the first error message I encounter a second set.

There is no way that anyone with a Mac actually tested anything that was "fixed". There is no way to avoid encountering the errors. If GGG did then please post what those fixes are so the rest of us can use them.

I've not bought anything from the shop for 2 years because of the lack of support. This won't affect GGG in the slightest but it's about the only form of protest open to me and other players. GGG used to be responsive to everyone and that differentiated them from the rest. Now they are sadly the same poorly responsive game studio as every other large studio out there.

Please - for the love of gaming - fix at least the update process so it works without needing a PhD in hacking to resolve. Performance fixes would also be good since FPS is around 30FPS on the standalone on an M1 Max with 64GB, which is terrible to say the least.

I will be shocked if anyone at GGG actually reads this or actually takes ownership and commit to a date to fix stuff. I'll QA it for free.
