OBS Game Capture Broken - Other capture methods cause comparably high lag

As title says, anyone else have this issue? it work working fine in the morning and then after a small patch the game will no longer be recognized by my OBS through game capture.

The performance difference between Game Capture and Window/Display Capture is immense it seems, is there any awareness of this issue or a possible fix?
