Things that could use some love
Thorns:
We need a few changes made. First and foremost we need more rolls of thorns. That way we can have some build diversity. You can't use any unique belts, shields or chests because losing 1 of 3 thorns rolls on your gear hurts your damage too much. Crown of the pale king unique property making you able to retaliate against all hits needs to be a spirit gem,on a unique jewel, or passive skill. Gaining a smal percent of your equipped body armour as thorns does almost nothing. The same with ignores armour it should just be increased thorns and a defensive mod. Maybe 1% damage reduction per 1000-1500 thorns damage. There aren't enough defensive options to make using true thorns possible against some bosses. You just get hit to deal damage, thus you need options to mitigate that damage to sustain your offense. We need to be able to socket support gems in thorns to enhance them to make them endgame viable. Warcries: Warcries need to fit a skill tag that rolls on gear. It's too hard to scale warcry damage like other skills because you can't get ranks to the skills other than a prism of belief or a lucky 1 to all skills corruption on your amulet. Perhaps you could add a + ranks to utility skills which warcries could be included in, Or AOE skills. Also the warrior passive tree needs more generic AOE damage and physical damage.everything is for attacks which seismic cry is only hits not an actual attack. Warcries can't interact with heralds, they can't use the damage multiplier from rage you get, they don't benefit from any additive damage on rings. In order to make warcries endgame viable we need ways to scale the damage and there just aren't any available. If you make them AOE damage instead of AOE attack damage that helps a bit. Heralds: Heralds should not require a martial weapon. It hinders A LOT of build diversity. It also bottle necks certain skills that could otherwise benefit from using a wand for increased elemental damage and gain extra damage such as warcries and thorns to have to use a martial weapon just to gain access to the herald skill itself. Passive tree: Warrior passive tree has too many negative trade offs. Reducing your movement speed for 1% life regen while stationary is CRAZY. Reducing attack speed to gain increased damage is kind of the same thing. If you attack harder but less often it basically the same as when you started. I think we need more resistance nodes, and defensive nodes.we need more damage reduction, resistance, max resistance, maximum life nodes, and things of that nature. Armour: We all know armour needs tweaked. Not really sure how to fix that but being hit one time and dying because you don't mitigate any damage at all. But I can face tank a giant fire ball because resistance just works like it should. Essences: Life and mana leech should be exclusive to the life and mana essences. Essence of battle already has SOOOO many possible rolls on rings,and weapons but somehow always only rolls leech or accuracy. There should be essences that can get you projectile skills, spell skills, and other things on amulets. It would even out some of the possible rolls per essences.
