Burrowing monsters in Ritual

Several monsters like the rock spiders and rock crabs from trial of sekhemas, and the sandworms, have a behavior where they hide underground indefinitely until you walk next to them and then they come out of the ground to become targetable.

So many times I am walking around a ritual just trying to find where the monster is. Everything's been killed, there's no action or danger, and I cannot find this burrowing mob for the life of me, just walking over every pixel of the ritual altar area until I randomly stumble upon it. It feels annoying and like a waste of my time.

Sometimes I can kind of see where it is but usually there's too much other crap on the ground, vfx, limited visibility from placement of walls terrain and doodads, and no contrast between monster and environment so I just cannot see it.

It would be great to get some change to address this. Still having lots of fun with the game, thanks for the great updates GGG.

Once i meet ritual in Canal map. With terracotta warriors around sarcofage. First i open sarcofage, kill all wakened terracotta warriors and then start a ritual. And i get statues around ritual tree, all invincible, not moving. And obviously, ritual not end. So i abandon map.

Just had this happen to me today. Had a ritual going and it never ended.. noticed there were some statues close to the ritual. Ran around.. finally had to port out.

Would be nice if they ahd some type of timer on the ritual so it eventually ends in case of something like this.
Oh! That's a good one. One time I had to dodge roll my way through volatile plants for 2 minutes until it finally stopped. I don't think it was something buried underground, though. Happened with other mechanics, too, i.e. the cursed fog. Rituals sometimes just don't end for some reason, but I am sure it was not what you specified, op. What you talk about is a bit annoying, though. For sure.
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?
