RNG quest drops have no place in this game (Clan Relics, Sacrificial Heart)

I am sure this has been said before but the random drop rate of quest items feels awful, and in my opinion they should not exist in this game. There may be other ARPGs that have quests like this, but I personally cannot think of any example in a modern ARPG that requires you to farm mobs and reset zones during the campaign in order to complete a quest that ties directly to player power.

Random drop quests work in other games like World of Warcraft because you will get a quest to get 4 wolf paws or some other MacGuffin and it is very clear you will have to keep killing wolves until you get them all. These types of quests also fit in with the general progression and feel of the game since there are typically lots of other quests in the same area so "farming" the wolves (or whatever) feels normal.

However in this game a quest like that has a couple problems:

1. If you are a new player, you may never know that you missed the drop and completely miss out on player power. Yes it is likely they will find the quest end point which nudges them a bit, but they might have no idea what they are missing out on and what they actually have to farm in order to complete the quest.

2. It can ruin the flow of the campaign. As someone who is aware of these random drops, I know that when I make a new character if I don't get the drop in my normal run through the relevant zone, I have to reset the zone and farm it until it drops. Compared to other quests with a distinct completion objective that can be easily accomplished alongside other quests in the game, farming a drop takes you out of the way and simply feels awful. No quest should require you to forcefully create a new zone except in abnormal circumstances.

To be transparent, I am writing this as I am in the middle of farming for the Sacrificial Heart drop on a new character. I don't have an accurate count but I have reset my zones about 4 times and killed 20+ of the drop mobs with no drop yet. It is a terrible experience.

Thanks for reading and I sincerely hope these quests are redesigned.
