T17 mods
Who agree with my opinion, that dev who thought that this mods are cool for difficulty, never normally ever reached to that content, can't play that game properly on endgame level and don't understand that this mods just breaks playing builds, and it's not normal difficulty jump from t16. Its sea of annoying breaking and amusing shit, which many don't want to play.
Hmm, tentacles which one shot and activate for 15s multiple times, and you can't wait far, cause it's activate only in your vision? Hm, grasping vines which slow on hit and make character from poe1 to poe2 just from one pack of mobs? Hmm, petrification statues which nobody can't see on map and they stop player for 10s? Hmm, awakener disolation or exarch ground which kills for 4s even player with 90% res and 1000 regen? Hmm, 20% penetration, reflect, -max res% which multiple with explicit mods, which takes 99% players, that even -110% anti reflect from pantheon and mastery, 90% max res can't help? Hmm, -60% recovery which becomes 100%+ with explicits and breaks all life builds? Dear devs, do you really dont understand how that sucks? Please, play live it to proove that i'm wrong, but i'm not, i saw almost every teasers and know how main devs play poe1 and poe2 to know what will be, if you want that people like me dislike that part of game, so it be. As harder content gets added to the game, build diversity only narrows. What is considered viable becomes less so if you wish to play as much of the game as possible.
T17 maps are a mistake. They are best run with optimized meta builds, usually ones that wealthy players have access to, meaning they continue to grow wealthier at a faster pace than everyone else. T17 maps need to be removed, uber bosses need to be removed. These ultra investment builds need to be nerfed. If the wealthy players are bored, because they feel the game is too easy for them, GGG should take away their means of trivializing it. They can struggle with the rest of us. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! It was really funny when i stepped on almost invisible exarch rune last week for the first time, got tilted, died in 0.5 seconds in confusion (14k life build with strong self damage).
They could move t17 mpds to some sort of Valdos maps for sadomasochists and change t17 mod pool. New t17 mods could be smth like: -Enemy hits for extra damage equal to your 15% current life+es+mana; -Enemies gain enhanced reversed knockback; -Enemies inflict permanent 1% inc damage taken debuff (boss excluded) -Enemies warp around you on agro (similar to kaoms dogs); -Enemies failing to damage you while in agro gain 5 rage per second up to 100 or smth. Killing enemies gives them rage in large radius. -Area has lab traps (lava floor, spiked rotating columns and etc.) -Every second player gains 1% inc damage taken, killing mobs reduces debuffs by fixed amount (this forces player to rush and make more mistakes, debuff stops in boss room). -All enemies have random duration of temporary revival (that invulnerable one). " these mods are poe2 lvl of amount job, ggg wouldn't decide to add somg like this and without many troubles, but i de-ly wanted to see inc damage taken mod untill i kill boss, it's cool idea. All they need, its concrete proper testing and making humanous balancing of game. Nobody now plays good with their rules only two choices: suck and get tired of these op mods or play meta op shit build which doesn't collide with these difficutlies, like shit what play captainlance with 20+k es and full res and many other def layouts. Do they even realize how painful now to play poe1 with sounds, how is bad bloodrage with automation, how many shit on screen. " +1000 Sadly seems like they have plans to add even more uber bosses, versions of these new 3 endgame bosses that came out this expansion. "Bring roses to boss" one will be soooooo fun as an uber version I'm sure. I know I'm buying a carry for it and never even attempting it. This is also why I never run t17s and always buy carries. I refuse to interact with content designed for 0.1% of players with perfect meta builds. It's just like Mythic raiding in WoW, and we know how well designing content for a minority of players went for Blizzard don't we. |
