Automate Map Rolling - QoL for Current State of Endgame
Since T17s were introduced (and now Originator maps) currency is being generated more than ever and i believe these maps work well for the chaos sink. however it gets tiring really fast once you start running 100 of these a day and have to manually spam 30+ chaos on each map...
I don't think we should remove this sink but instead make it less frustrating to use. My idea: Add a new NPC (maybe Zana in 3.27?) that serves as an auto map crafter. you feed them with chaos orbs, insert a regex and fill his inventory with maps. the NPC then automatically and instantly rolls the maps for you until his chaos inventory depletes or they all match the regex. This could come at a HEFTY gold cost too, also helping with gold sink and making it not viable to use all the time and only for when you have a gold excess to burn. Maybe they could also be fed with scourings and alchemy orbs, or maybe even chisels. Last bumped on Aug 2, 2025, 11:49:51 AM

+1
I'll go a step further and suggest a regex blacklist, so the map roller will reroll maps that match anything on it. Is your build able to roll everything except maybe one or two things? Put them on the blacklist and they'll stop rerolling when the map doesn't include them. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" Not sure you understand how regex works, OP already suggested this. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

This was my first league where I also started to grind T17 endgame maps and I have to say buying these maps and rerolling them is the worst part.
1st let us buy the maps from the auction house 2nd let us open up a window where we choose what mods we do not want on the map and then what quant, scarabs, currency, pack size we want and then we can just click on start rolling and it would eat your chaos orbs until it hits your desired mods with desired currency/scarabs etc mod. We could manually cancel it if it starts eating too many chaos orbs, so we cancel and reset numbers.. like instead of 140% quant on map it needs to have 120% quant or instead of 240% scarabs it could be 140% scarabs. 3rd option would be to add every map on the atlas into the T17 pool if we want.. like all the favourite maps would be DUNES T17 etc. Mathils actual cat

I'd love it if we could load a set amount of currency into a slot, and let the game auto-roll it until a dropdown lost of several mods were hit.
But perhaps the "weight of the click" is an intentional bit of difficulty here. (My poor mouse). A neat idea though. |

" chill out, Dominus. yes i do play more than the average player but i believe everyone can reach this point after 1 month of gameplay. At one point, you have a good enough build where your only goal is to keep farming for the sake of it. My point is that once players reach the endgame point of progression where the goal is simply to optimize profits, many design choices become tiresome to deal with. I don't personally think Chris designed many things thinking about "is this going to feel good to do hundreds of times in a row?" because back then it wasn't an issue. Nowadays it is and it isn't only about map rolling. |
