Not enjoying poe2, no dmg!
I decided to try out poe2, was going to wait till they had all the classes out...but gave in...went with a witch minion build, and I hate it SO much. I have 10k hours in poe1, so I know what scales what. No matter what I do they all suck, im spending 10mins to down a boss, and its infuriating. Zombies require corpses, which you can't generate anymore. And no matter what minions I go with the spirit keeps me locked down to a laughable amount of minions. The ability that raises scorpions cant be used on a boss because of no corpses...im at a loss for words! I sure hope this isn't how its meant to be! I had to cast frost orb to down a boss myself, if left to the minions it would of taken 30mins easily! And I have ALL minion dmg nodes I could reach by 25! Like what is this mess?!
I have experimented with all available supports, I have 2 pieces of gear with +1 to all minion skill gems. Last edited by justinmm1988#6504 on Aug 5, 2025, 6:29:43 PM Last bumped on Aug 6, 2025, 1:50:43 AM

Do you see the cognitive dissonance displayed in this scenario?:
-->"I know what I'm doing!" --> Complain about being unable to do a thing that other people have figured out how to do. You can't play this game like you play poe1. You'll probably pick it up quickly, but it's a different game. The same tricks and playstyle don't necessarily work. Last edited by karsey#2995 on Aug 5, 2025, 8:57:05 PM

Before the game even released I read the descriptions for zombies and the scorpion boys and noped right out. I've played Witch with persistent minions in both leagues SSF fine, certainly no boss took 10 minutes. Obviously the game is still being balanced. If a minion type isn't working, try others. There's like 7 different kinds of skele minions alone. Experiment.

"I have every minion damage node at level 25. I know I'm good at the game so it can't be me"
These two things do not go together, my friend. |
