Is dodge to sprint the dumbest idea in PoE?

So before I go running I have to roll around on the ground for a couple seconds first??
It doesn't stop if you release spacebar, so you have to cancel it with a skill.
If you are used to holding spacebar while dodge rolling you gonna accidentally sprint and get knocked over.
spacebar to dodge or sprint is opposite actions for the same trigger.

Wait to try it first before you whine. It might be dumb or it might just be fine.

Note, you will have to keep clicking the spacebar for the entirety of your life while playing PoE2.

Instead of teloprting skills that you can click instead of holding.

A bigger potential issue I see is thumb hurt when sprinting. holding thumb on space is not natural (but we shall see) if not maybe a simple keybind Change will help.

I just wish it was a normal sprint button like in Diablo 2 for example. They probably did this to make it work on controller.

Tough to comment on specifics like how it will feel without trying it and seeing how it actually feels / works, but don't let that get in your way lol.

Overall I'm happy they're acknowledging we want to move faster through the downtime / boring parts of the game and adding something to try and do that. The way they've balanced Sprint in/out of combat seems reasonable.

If the specific buttons / controls are clunky at first it feels like a much lower bar for them to make changes there, vs. the hurdle to implementing something like sprint in the first place, so overall this feels like a good move.

It is the exact sme control scheme of Dark souls.. ifyou press you roll on release.. if you press and hold you just run.

I would like to see a list of PoE ideas first before I can decide if this is the dumbest idea.

I find it hard to believe this is the dumbest idea. I am not saying it is smart. I am questioning the exaggerated remark that this could be the dumbest idea.

PoE player try not to whine about things for 5 minutes challenge lv: impossible.
