XeSS on Vulkan inquiry/suggestion/question about performance and implementation.
Hi! So recently found out that intel released a free and open SDK of XeSS, I'm not that savvy in tech, but I get around. This for saying:
Dropped the 4 .dlls on PoE's folder and, running on DX12 I got XeSS working and really well. got almost 10 extra FPS when running really juiced content. (From 20ish to 30~35 FPS) I got a I7 7700 and a gtx 1060 (6gb of video), so my issues are always CPU related, not that much on the GPU side. Ideally I should run game on Vulkan + XeSS 2.1 however, XeSS it is not available on Vulkan. As my little IQ tells me, XeSS should be "requested" by Vulkan to have it included. Can't be forces by just dropping the files like in DX12, correct? Could this be added/forced by us in someway? Or is only GGG's side that can make it run? Thanks for anyone interested enough to try to understand my poor English! Wish to play at 60+ FPS but my hardware never was able to, happy to get just 5 more ATM lol. May I share a link here? For the XeSS intell SDK on GitHub if someone else is intered in trying it out. Again thanks for any help or opinions!. Last bumped on Aug 21, 2025, 8:58:07 PM

" Yeah - I'd remove those, post haste. GGG is heavily opposed to any modifying of the game client. People have gotten banned for dropping DLLs into the game's directory to force it to support superwide monitors that GGG intentionally don't want the game to support. Yours might be comparatively innocuous, but it's still a ToU violation. Last edited by Sarno#0493 on Aug 21, 2025, 5:51:53 PM
