New Glancing Blows: Evade chance isn't rolled, how can it be unlucky?
Evasion's entropy system means that your chance to evade a given hit isn't determined by a roll. This seems to make it incompatible with the concept of lucky/unlucky as we know it, so it probably required a special implementation.
Perhaps it is as simple as: unlucky evade chance = evade chance² But this still leaves a couple of questions: When is the evasion cap applied? Can I still have an effective 95% chance to evade with unlucky evasion or is it at most ~90% (0.95²)? Does unlucky evasion affect the follow-up roll that a critical hit must succeed to avoid being downgraded to a non-crit? Last bumped on Aug 23, 2025, 3:15:49 PM
