Jewell conecting 2 Jewel Socet

I've been trying to figure out what would be great for all classes: Let's say there's a JEWEL (double-linked, form boss os something) that allows you to combine two slots in the Talent Tree to connect two distant Jewel Sockets. For example, you enter with a Ranger Jewel Sockets and exit with a distant Jewel Sockets on Sorceress sides.

This is far more useful than the Scion's Ascendancy options of unlocking the starting node for other classes. How rare/expensive do you expect this jewel pair to be that it isn't totally OP?

Any sort of gateway node like this is vanishingly unlikely. They specifically eliminated the Scion because they thought it made traversing the skill tree too easy and allowed for 'hybrid' builds without enough penalty. Where you start on the tree is supposed to determine your build - if you start as a Monk on the northeast quadrant, getting Warrior stuff in the southwest is supposed to be the next best thing to impossible. Being able to simply jump around on the tree at will is a thing they're actively avoiding.
