[Suggestion] League reset button

Hello everyone,

What do you think of a league reset button?

My problem:
At the beginning of a new league, I create a new character. Everything is reset.
I have no items, no Atlas, no gold, nothing. I start from scratch.
I love starting from scratch. For me, this is a challenge, as I mostly play SSF.

After 1-2 weeks, I lose interest in this character. I would like to create a new one. When I create a new character in the same league, the Atlas is already unlocked and the character has access to currency, gold, and items in the stash. Removing all items is very tedious, and I can't reset the Atlas or the gold.

This leaves me with the following options:
- Create a new account, but then I can no longer use my premium tabs.
- Create a character in a different league.
- Private league

My suggestion:
I would welcome a league reset button that deletes all characters and progress in the selected league. That way, I would have the same starting position as at the beginning of the league.
No Atlas, no gold, no items. Everything would be reset.

I'm sure that much more complex features have been implemented in PoE. I would even argue that this feature is very easy to implement. I don't think this feature would bother anyone. If PoE1 were a local game, you could simply delete the savegame, but unfortunately this is not possible in an online game.

I would even be willing to pay for such a feature.
How much would it cost?

You propose the solution for SSF players. But i think the ideal solution will be another mini league with fresh economy. The GGG can launch it in the middle of current one.

So people that want fresh economy can join this league, while other can continue play in current one.

Private league is probably an option, if you are happy to pay. I guess your meaning you would pay for the option of resetting at will?

I wouldn't mind having it, but I also don't think it is needed or would get used that much. What I've done the last 3 or 4 leagues is start trade then move to SSFHC later on. I think it's a good way of doing it. I think some people would use it, but for the most part you can just replicate a fresh league start by moving your currency somewhere out of the way. I have a second currency tab that I sometimes use if I want to replicate league start. I get that what your asking for is a much cleaner option than that, that doesn't require doing any of that and complete for all functions.

As some others have been suggesting on the forum, I think it would be good if GGG ran a few more events late in the league. I think now with POE2 in the cycle, they do not want people burning out late in the league before the next one starts, but there is probably room to do some short events.

Can you imagine the number of Support requests this would generate with players "accidentally" pressing the Reset League button then wanting everything restored? Which won't be happening as restoring everything is nigh impossible.

Yes, I can imagine that players might delete something “by accident.”
That's why I would strictly refuse to restore anything.

I would implement a dialog box that forces the user to confirm the action.
The user would have to type “I agree” in the dialog box.

But this problem exists everywhere. It's not an argument for me.
Any item that is picked up can also be deleted accidentally, such as a Mageblood.

I would gladly spend $100 on the reset button.
But 300 coins for each league (10 players, 30 days) is too expensive for me.

I could live with that if a new league started every 1-2 months.

I don't like POE2. The gameplay is too slow/sluggish for me.
I lose interest in playing halfway through the campaign, and I don't know exactly why. I just find it boring. Don't get me wrong, the bosses are cool, but I just don't like the gameplay.

Fair enough. Sure there are others that may be interested as well. Maybe it is something they should consider. I would like to have it too. At this stage not enough that I would purchase it, but I would use it if it was available.

This kind of thing would be sweet for speedrunning and challenge runs, yeah.

I think it should be a base option and not something to buy.

As people have said, this exists in the form of private leagues.

We have an amazing base game that is free to play. Being upset at/expecting GGG to not charge for features like Private League is shortsighted and unreasonable.

I think it would be perfectly fair if only standard was F2P and every league was a RMT charge to enter. Be thankful for what we have.
