Question for a Vaal Ice shot poison brew

Since Vaal ice shot is a doable leaguestart and the vaal skill hits many times in a short duration, would it make sense to play it with the new "all damage can poison" ascendancy. Technically with a flat ele Bow and a bunch of attack speed this should be a viable alternative to the Deadeye. Every build i tried to create really fell off in maps and i want to make shure im not missing something here. In theory the bigger issue with assassin would be sustain. In addition trinity allows for many different ailments and adding poison fueling yoke of suffering.

Would any of you veterans think that this would be a valid league start?
