        New Game Mode For People Who Arnt As Hardcore As Most People...
| i love this game, i enjoy playing it and recently i managed to reach the highest level i ever had in PoE 2; 89. now to most that sounds pathetic i know but to someone who isn't as hardcore as others it wasn't easy reaching that point at all due to 2 things i and others (may) consider issues; XP Loss and Resistance Loss. I'm here leaving feedback that could help these 2 things without ruining the experience for the majority that enjoy the way the game is now... i call it: CasualCore (I'm not good at names lol) the idea is simple yet elegant: 1. No XP Loss On Death In Endgame 2. Less Resistance Loss Every Act 3. Less XP/Gold/Magic Find (for balance, which I'm no expert at so take or leave it i guess lol) 4. Separate Player base Like With Standard and Hardcore 5. Boss Charge Up Attacks Deal A Bit Less Damage (to lessen the chances of 1 shot kills, which isn't really needed as you can learn how to dodge them but I'm a bit OCD and needed a number 5 so.... ya...) i feel that this would help people (like myself and some friends) play the game more often and longer as it would make the experience more enjoyable overall and it wouldn't effect the way the game is right now in anyway as it would be each players choice on if they play it or not. it took me a lot of courage to come here to bring this idea as the communities with things like this tend to be a bit.. leaning toxic so I'm scared to even post this but this was feedback i wanted to leave. i really do love this game and I'd love to play it more and more, but with the way things are now I've reached the limit of what i can actually do so I'm currently trying to find another similar game to play until the next season starts... which is a long time away (btw Torchlight 2 is awesome so far lol) so ya thanks for reading and please... don't be toxic to me i just want everyone to be able to enjoy this wonderful game equally and there's nothing wrong with that. sincerely, a lich that enjoys draining monster essence Last edited by Nepu_Marathon#9861 on Oct 27, 2025, 5:14:24 PM Last bumped on Oct 27, 2025, 7:04:16 PM |   | 
| I've said this same thing so many times I've stopped trying. Its like they don't understand that providing a casual option will eliminate so many problems & attract a lot of players. Its always the same complaints and its a brain dead easy fix. Yes, they'll have to balance casual separately a bit so it is more work, but it also would increase your player base and profits. But sadistic minded individuals don't tend to be open minded towards giving people options or choices, they'd rather people's only option be to suffer or leave. Its why even though this has been said over and over... It most likely won't happen. I completely agree with you though and pray the devs prove me wrong and show they are interested in more then just a certain type of player. |   | 
| The problem is they designed the drops around the community economy.  So diving the player base further will hurt economies.  Although, I suspect if they make CasualCore, you'll find the majority of players leave Standard for it. I don't care too much about the XP loss on death. Maybe they lower that, but the other stuff you lose on death feels worse. The map, the tablet charges, etc. Just give us our 6 portals and let the Hardcore league be the place where people play hardcore. Pseudo-hardcore imposed onto standard players feels terrible. |   |
