PoE 1 must have received a large influx of new players for anyone to think Mercenaries wouldn't be removed. They were clearly the league-specific power. Guess what, graft hands will go bye bye in 4 months as well. In 1-2 leagues GGG will probably roll Mercs back out in some manner to kill and take their loot, but the only way you will get a Merc companion back is if an Ascendency class is built around it, and even then it wouldn't be as powerful as they were.
On the other hand I would love to see Animate Guardian to be reworked to have an equipment menu like the Mercs did. You don't need to change any functionality of it, equipment is still bound to the character's AG and lost upon replacement, but being able to visually see what modifiers are on the guy would be helpful. |

" There is a good chance stuff like doryanis will be either removed from the game or the interaction deleted before they make them core. If they re release them and they're broken like that again i would be incredibly surprised. Its more likely when they're added back they have a chance to give you about the same dps buff as a 50% aura and no broken interactions. |
