Collapsing Hive Damage

3200 EHP between life and ES, and one pulse of the collapsing tower damage takes me to 150 life from full, making everything else immediately one shot me. What the hell is this damage? Is it Chaos and a terrible choice for early progression? Is it Phys and 2-3x more than it should be? Holy moly, look into this, because it's unavoidable damage and is gating me out of hives.

I actually have more EHP than that but i'm in the same boat. Hope they look at the damage again because it doesn't feel right.

It's also destroys builds that aren't HP based and cannot use life flasks
