3.27 from HC to SC.

What I 100% expected on death, since Keepers of Flame made SC the parent league:
1. Loosing all atlas progression and atlas trees 2. Loosing all progress in Kingsmarch + loosing all gold 3. Loosing all grafted blood accumulated What the F i really didn't expect: 1. getting 10 minute pop-up spam, notifying me that I unlocked a craft option, with all crafting options being locked, even though the character is comfy in maps. 2. getting totally shafted with the Breach mechanic getting reset to 0, even though IT IS A QUEST, dropping QUEST items. 3. On top of nb.2 the "Into the breach" quest being bugged out, "Visit the monastery" always being on the screen and in quest tab, even if you go there. --------------- Would be lovely, if the "Migrate all" button, would migrate your HC character to SC, since you know, its the parent league for it. It would also be lovely, to not have to run all through the freaking campaign from Act1 to Act10 for basic Fing crafts, when you even get the pop-ups that they were unlocked, maybe you know, the Kirak quest for "1st" map could just unlock those. It would also be lovely, if the league mechanic didnt get completely shafted on the "migration" via death, at this point i'm not even sure if i can even progress it on SC even if i wanted to, as the quest is bugged out. Its certainly nice, to see that Hardcore got one less way standing in the way of players trying it out, but holy hell, this implementation is not it, this just makes me wish i never went to Hardcore over Softcore, as its major pain in the ass to even figure what didnt move over that feels like it 100% should have been moved over, and just makes me want to quit the league, as the only reason i went HC, was the premise that SC was parent league, my bad thinking that basic things like crafts and league mechanic quests would move over as well. I really loved the idea of starting every new league as a HC character to see how far and how long I could go without dying — coming from literally only playing SC until now.
I loved the idea that not all the leveling and character progression would be lost. (When we’re honest, HC characters going to Standard or Void doesn’t make that much of a difference in 99% of cases.) My take on this would be: if there hasn’t been a Softcore character in this league yet, just copy the game state of the HC character that’s being moved there — without the stash or gold or current hold graftblood, of course, or any items lying in crafting benches or the map stash. I am only at the end of act 3, doing fine with my HC character but having the genesis tree and other progression in mind i am already thinking about just starting another softcore character or even ripping my actual char on purpose. Because, as i said i am mainly a SC player and don't want to "waste" time/progression to a "league" i will only play a short percentage of the ongoing 3.27 |

Yea, the people who wanted to test HC and then go SC since they changed the parents leagues have only 3 options if they rip in maps (or anywhere else for that matter), either just quit the league because its not worth the struggle, create whole new character, because the one from HC is as useless as if it went to void so no change with the parent league, or spend around 1 hour running Act 1 - Act 10 to unlock basic freaking stuff that shouldnt even be a thing locked behind "recipes" and then another god knows how much longer to get back the league mechanic to a useable point.
Neither of those options is a good one, but there is no "oh, you tried, have your fun in SC if you want, or create new HC character" which is sad. The decision to make the parent league be SC is lovely, but the implementation is so bad, it might as well be the same as before. Last edited by katazuyen#3382 on Nov 1, 2025, 6:20:26 PM

" Glad you like it, I was the person and pretty much the ONLY one asking for this with an army of people fighting me for what seemed like a decade, it really means a lot to see someone literally saying why they like it is one of the foundational reasons i suggested it endlessly for so many years. Also this is going to give HARDCORE more new players and potentially a stronger playerbase in the long run. I'm glad i saw this thread, i stopped reading the patch notes a couple leagues ago as i had just about given up on GGG listening to ANYTHING i say so why on earth would i need to stay informed. To all the people who doubted and fought against, lol. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony#3358 on Nov 1, 2025, 6:37:28 PM
