Wisps... uh, hmm.

I had to lookup what wisps did, which I think is pretty dumb. Is there a way to find out without going to an external source? Cause this is a major(annoying to me) theme of this game. That alone is going to be a big turnoff to players(I think?). Wtf is this now, tear out their phones to look it up. Happens every five seconds. Its a debuff when you play the game. I looked up the wisp mods because bear/boar, whatever, I thought they were adding insane health values- according to the wiki its toughness. Its way too much. Annoying mechanic on an unrewarding annoying thinger dinger(wisp). Regarding wisps overall- pretty much a failed mechanic, in my book(I don't actually have a book), at this point. Lots of pain in the assery. The mechanic is simply confusing- like... the wisp is unlocking the citadels, but leading me to rare mobs that it buffs... to make me stronger? Buffing all of the mobs along the way... getting upset when I'm not keeping up because of the mobs its tinkerbelling, wtf buddy. You want all this shit from me, to give me nothing, and you're tinkling at me in anger cause I'm not moving fast enough. Well I'm not going to be very useful to you if I'm dead, will I, you dumb glowy ball dumbass! Is this not just annoying? A guy says to follow him in a car. You get behind him and he jets- hes darting through traffic, I'm like WTF bro! Send me the address you ding dong, you said follow me, not follow me if you can! Wouldn't everyone get annoyed by this? Do the devs just think in annoying ways? Is their leader annoying, is this the goal? What is this plot? Wouldn't it be way better if wisps drew mobs in a large area to themselves then like... turned part of them into a rare, or pack of rares, some combination of something? Then its kinda cool, this is just annoying. Which seems to be par for the course. Last bumped on Nov 1, 2025, 11:08:16 PM

If a wisp runs faster than your character, you should consider adjusting your build imo. No offense, but I admit some of the wisp mechanics are quite annoying. The most annoying one for me is when you chase them instead of them chasing you. But I think the movement part is up to you.
They also slightly affect the boss loot with the wisp tablet. It adds a little extra action to the boss fight, and I like it. Here are a few examples: Neden yaşıyorsun? Last edited by Jideament#2792 on Nov 1, 2025, 5:47:10 PM

Act 4 had an island that kind of introduced wisps.
But yeah, most folks don't care for wisps. Poor rewards, annoying to follow, and usually way too slow for endgame. |
